Daniel Carter was named Outstanding Player of the Game

College Fanz Sports Network has presented a $1,000 check to the University of Saint Francis Department of Athletics in honor of running back Daniel Carter, who was selected as the Outstanding Player of the Game during the USF-Marian University Football Game on September 26.

College Fanz' broadcast of USF's 28-7 victory racked up over 180,000 views in more than 70 countries for the weekend.

"I was honored to participate in the inaugural season's College Fanz Game of the Week on your campus and meet your 'fanz,' along with many of your players, coaches and other staff," said Bill Rasmussen, Founder of both the College Fanz Sports Network and ESPN. "It was a great season for College Fanz and me."

College Fanz' selection was a good one: Carter was named to the 2009 American Football Coaches Association NAIA Coaches All-America Team, as well as the 2009 College Fanz Sports Network All-American Team.

"The USF community is thrilled to accept this donation on behalf of a great student-athlete," said Mark A. Pope, USF Director of Athletics. "We had a great time with Bill and his staff last September, and we sincerely hope that he'll join us for another broadcast this fall."
