Dave Ivy

Outside Linebackers Coach

Ivy mugDave Ivy is an 12-year USF veteran coach having joined the program as outside linebacker coach in 1998, after coaching four years at the high school level in the Fort Wayne area. Ivy brings 29 years of coaching experience to the Cougar staff.

  Ivy, a native of Fort Wayne, Indiana, played his prep football at Northrop High School and is a 1979 NHS graduate. He began his coaching career as an assistant coach at Northwood Middle School, before being named head coach.

 In 1992, he accepted the defensive coordinator position at Elmhurst High School and in 1995 was the defensive line coach at Snider High School. He continues to serve as an assistant track and field coach at North Side High School in the spring.

Ivy also became equipment manager for the Cougars in 2008. He received his Bachelor's Degree from IPFW in 1991. He currently owns and operates his own business. He is single and resides in Fort Wayne.
