Cougar Women Sign Heritage High School student-athlete

MONROEVILLE -- Ericka Williams, a Heritage High School senior who will graduate in June this year, will be joining the Cougars next fall. Williams, who will compete in cross country and track and field, is one of the top high school runners in the Fort Wayne area and will be an asset to a USF team that only lost one senior from the 2007 squad.

Ericka was the 2007 runner-up in both the 1600 and 3200 meter run at the Allen County Athletic Conference Track and Field Meet and won 3200 at the South Adams Invitational.  She has also placed in the top 10 in both events at Regional for the past three years.

She has also had success off the track and on the roads as she posted a time of 19:59 last July at the Runners on Parade 5K.

Williams plans to study Radiologic Technology at USF.
