

Sarah Thrall begins her fourth season at the helm of the USF cross country and track and field programs. She assumed the cross country duties previously held by USF women's basketball coach Gary Andrews. Coach Thrall is certified as a Level II coach by the United States Track and Field Association in endurance and the sprints/hurdles and relays.
Thrall, who ran in the 2005 and 2006 Boston Marathon, earned a bachelor's degree in Physical Education at storied Springfield College (Mass.) in 1999 and completed a Master's in Athletic Administration at University of Kansas in 2004. She has been an assistant coach at the high school and collegiate level since 1999, beginning as assistant cross country / track & field coach at LaBelle High School in LaBelle, Fla., where she helped the LaBelle cross country team win the schools' first two regional championships. She moved on to Baker University in Baldwin City, Kan., where she coached eight individual all-conference cross country and track athletes.
While at Springfield, Thrall earned all-regional cross country honors (1997) and All-New England and all-conference recognition in track and field (1997 - 1999). She was also named to the NEWMAC Honor Roll in 1999.
Thrall is a 1995 St. Johnsbury Academy graduate in St. Johnsbury, Vt.
