   FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- With its school record 30th win overall and school record 17th win in Mid-Central College Conference play, the Cougars clinched second place in the MCC on Saturday with the Game 2 win. USF is 30-19 overall and finishes 17-7 in MCC play. USF will wait for the outcome of the MCC Playin Games on April 27-28 to learn who it will play in the first round of the MCC Tournament which begins Sat., May 2 at Indiana Wesleyan in Marion.

  Colin Zwiebel's 2-out, 2-run single in the sixth broke a tie at 2. Zwiebel eventually scored on an MC error pushing the USF lead to 5-2 and helping USF starting pitcher Greg Kerro improve to 4-2. Bart Schnur pitched the seventh picking up the save with a game-ending double play. Scott Bickel (Huntington, IN / Huntington North H.S.) belted his team-leading seventh home run in the second inning to get USF on the scoreboard in Game 2.

     USF plays a non-conference doubleheader on Sunday at Cougar Field against Wilmington College (Wilmington, OH) starting at 1 p.m. USF has rescheduled a single, nine-inning game for Thurs., April 30 at USF against Ohio Northern starting at 4:30 p.m.
